A review on the immigrants¡¯ mental health policy of foreign countries

Abstract
Migration, change in the location of residence is a universal phenomenon and has occured in all nations at all times. The process of migration is both qualitatively and quantitatively a highly heterogeneous process. The experience of acculturation cause mental health problem. As the number of immigrant is increasing, our nation enter the multicultural society. But there is not the policy and practice of immigrants¡¯ mental health. Then this paper review the policy of immigrants¡¯ mental health prevention and promotion in Australia, England, America. There is the national immigrants¡¯ mental health plan of mental health prevention and promotion in Australia, England. And Each country is developing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. Even though there is not national immigrants¡¯ mental health plan in America, it practices a program to eliminate ethnic and racial minorities¡¯ mental health disparities as the part of pubic health The findings suggest that messages need to making immigrants¡¯ mental health policy and develop culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health services in Korea.
